Adidas Hamburg are really retro. They have a very low ankle and have quite a stream lined, flat look. Very eighties! However, this design was first released in the 1970s. Another feature which makes the Hamburg look super vintage is the rubber gum sole.
Sometimes Adidas put a white or black sole on some of their retro Adidas trainers so it's nice that they haven't done that with the Hamburg's. They wouldn't have looked as nice if they did.
Adidas Hamburg uppers are mostly made of a thin pig skin suede and leather.
Very smooth. All pairs feature the Adidas logo and "Adidas" in writing pressed / embossed on the side sole. The Adidas logo is on the heel and tongue. The laces are also colour coded. Of course, you can always change them if you like.
A thick pair of white "Skate" style laces would perhaps look nice in these trainers. They are a superb pair of trainers in every aspect, and they are expected to sell out extremely fast. Looking at the pre-order lists from suppliers, I can tell you that they are flying out the door!
Get a pair as fast as you can because once they are sold out people will be putting them up for sale for crazy prices while the buzz for them is still in effect. Pay between £70 - £120 for a pair of Adidas Hamburg.
